Get in the right frame of mind

The most important thing you can do to lose weight fast is to get yourself into the right frame of mind to do that. You have to set yourself a specific weight that you want to achieve and to make sure you definitely that – no  matter what. The Importance of doing this is that it is giving you certainty and decisiveness to motivate you to do all the things that you will need to do in order to lose weight. It’s no good telling people that you are TRYING to lose weight or WANT to lose weight because that isn’t definite enough. Instead you need to tell yourself that you are DEFINITELY going to do it, at this point your mind sends that signal to your body and you will be prepared to make the weight loss happen.

Start doings resistance training

To lose weight fast, cardiovascular exercise is not as important than doing resistance and strength training. The reason for this is that when you build lean muscle it boosts your energy levels and metabolism and allows you to burn fat, even when you are inactive. You don’t need to become a world champion weight lifter it’s just a matter of doing some weight training, or if you’re already lifting weights, to start lifting heavier ones.

After a few weeks of doing this resistance training, your body will build lean muscle mass and start to drop fat.

Don’t give up cardio work, you should also be aiming to do that a few times a week. Try to integrate your weights and cardiovascular work into the same session.

Plus of course you need to eat the right things.

Change your metabolism

If you are eating badly, particularly processed foods which are high in sugar, salt and fat, your metabolism is affected and it becomes harder for you to lose weight. Your metabolism is also hit if you try extreme dieting or have a lot of stress in your life. So you need to start eating non-processed food, reduce your stress levels (meditation is good for this) and avoid extreme diets, your metabolism should soon be working well and help you to lose weight.
